Stop trying to appease offended people!

Stop thinking you have to over qualify everything you say because some people misunderstand you and then start reacting to what they think you are saying but they’re actually being triggered by some of their own past bad experiences and confusing it with what you’re saying. Their reaction only exposes what still needs to be healed in their own heart. Jesus was very good at this. He often told a parable or made an outrageous statement or an offensive statement and then just left it hanging without feeling the need to chase after people to make sure they never misunderstood him. Peoples’ reactions to Christ always revealed the deficiencies of their own hearts and their need for true repentance. Because Jesus loved people he provoked them to think differently, because the way they were thinking was hurting them.
