If you believe your sin has opened a door to the devil or that you have a generational curse over your life, you will not resist the devil because you believe he has the right to operate in your life. But there is something you can do. You can know the truth and enforce your authority, because you have genuine authority in Christ and the devil only has illegitimate authority.

GALATIANS 3:13 “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”
ROMANS 8:2 “For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”
COLOSSIANS 2:15 “He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”
COLOSSIANS 1:13 “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.”
COLOSSIANS 2:10 “So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.”
LUKE 10:19 “Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.”
If our authority to resist the devil and enforce the Kingdom was based on our performance then there is not a single Christian who would have authority.
Our authority is based on grace and we take it up by faith! The believer who understands this is a dangerous warrior.
