God’s ability to save us is so perfect there is nothing that can break it!
If God raised us up TOGETHER with Christ and made us ONE with Him then for us to lose our salvation it would mean that Christ would need to die. But that’s impossible because He has an indestructible life.
If Christ cannot die, and we are one with Christ, it means that we cannot die spiritually ever again. If we cannot die spiritually again it means it’s impossible to lose our salvation. There is now no means by which we can lose our salvation. Christ’s indestructible life is the guarantee of our eternal security! Christ life guarantees our eternal life. PLUS God gave us the Holy Spirit as a down payment, a deposit, a surety to guarantee what is to come – eternal life. The only way we could lose our salvation is if God didn’t make good on His promise. But it is impossible for God to lie or break His oath.
PLUS:
- Christ is our anchor.
- Christ is our mediator.
- Christ is our advocate.
- Christ is our intercessor.
- Christ is our propitiation.
- Christ is our righteousness.
- Christ is our holiness.
- Christ is our saviour.
- Christ is our life.
- Christ is our guarantee.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”
Hebrews 7: 23 – 25 “The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”
Hebrews 6:17-20 “So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”
Ephesians 1:13-14 “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.”
1 Peter 1: 23 “…having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever…”
Colossians 3:3-4 “For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
This truth will establish your heart in faith and peace and bring confidence and maturity to your walk with God.
